Jenna Novic | The Rosebud Company

Jenna Novic is a partner and repair specialist at The Rosebud Company. She has worked in the flooring industry for more than 25 years doing everything from sanding, finishing, installation, repair, equipment maintenance and managing.

Raised in suburban Detroit in the ’70s and ’80s, engines were an interest to her which eventually led her to a 13-year career in the motorcycle safety industry, training new adult riders on how to ride and remain safe on the road. She worked with many contractors as a journeyman plumber, electrician, carpenter when first moving to Atlanta in the mid ’90s.

Eventually she found her way to retail and worked for a popular family owned and run hardware store where her wood floor journey began. After 10 years of working for a small wood floor company she ventured out on her own and began a solo career until it was time to try a new hat on, stay-at-home mom.

As exciting a time as that was, it was soon time to get back to work. Legend has it that Michael Purser of The Rosebud Company convinced her to come back to work all while she stood holding a box of diapers in the Target parking lot.

Notable and enjoyable jobs have been The Hay House in Macon Georgia, Bulloch Hall in Roswell Georgia, and everybody’s favorite: The Edsel and Elenor Ford house in Grosse Pointe Shores Michigan.

“I think it’s important that when doing preservation work,” says Jenna, “we need to save as much as humanly possible. I hope I can keep doing that for people as their homes will continue to age and become cooler and more interesting with every year.”
